The training workshop for a number of local religious leaders in the states of Kassala and the Red Sea on women's economic empowerment, combating discrimination in social norms, and gender-based violence concluded. This was done through the Economic Opportunities and Leadership project, which includes professional skills training, funded by the European Union and the Italian Agency through the organization Mercy Corps. The closing of the workshop was attended by the director of the JASMAR office in Kassala, Ms. Ghada Ahmed Bataran, and the program director of the organization, along with the participation of a media group that had previously been trained through the project. This comes as part of supporting, enhancing, and highlighting the importance of strengthening the role of women in the community.
